Celene B. Mulholland, MD

 

Dr. Mulholland is a compassionate and skillfully-trained brain and spine surgeon who cares about her patients.

Dr. Mulholland attended the University of California, San Diego, for her undergraduate studies in cognitive neuroscience and subsequently earned a master’s degree in public health at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She then obtained her medical degree from the Charles R. Drew School of Medicine at UCLA. During the course of her studies, she was heavily involved with international neurosurgery research and community outreach.

After finishing medical school, Dr. Mulholland completed her neurological surgery residency at the world’s largest neurological disease treatment and research institution, the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute. During this tenure, she gained further knowledge and experience in the full spectrum of neurological surgery, ranging from minimally invasive spine to complex skull base cases. She completed a minimally invasive spine fellowship with Dr. Juan S. Uribe. She also authored and co-authored multiple articles, papers, and book chapters on neurosurgery techniques and advancement.

Dr. Mulholland is a compassionate and skillfully-trained surgeon. She cares for her patients and actively involves them in mapping out the best care plan for their treatment. In her personal life, Dr. Mulholland enjoys spending time with her husband, her three children and her three dogs.
